The Times They Are a-Changin'

For almost a year we have been building and now we are entering the first phase of the new construction. After two years of testing we decided to make the step towards sustainability. Energy is factor, which has the highest influence on our carbon footprint. We think we can reach our goals by combining solar cells, LED lights, the semi-closed greenhouse and some clever adaptations of diffuse windowpanes, heat exchangers and heat storage in the ground.
The use of these new techniques will never be at the cost of the quality or flavour of the product. The spectacular red-blue lights are doing exactly what we expect them to do; even better, some people claim that the flavour improves. The light is similar to sunlight, however, to reduce the amount of energy used, some frequencies (colours), which are not required for plant growth, have been omitted.
Thanks to our distribution partners, our products, better and better, find their way through the chain. The cress are not a by-product anymore. This brings an increased responsibility. Our customers keep asking for new surprises and our R&D department takes this challenge really seriously. The most delicious flavours are collected from all over the world and brought to Monster to be tested for their commercial value. Our current focus is highly aimed at salty crops.
The holidays are approaching and in some countries this means extra turnover in the restaurants. Everybody is involved in surprising their guests and making them feel welcome. We, from our side, wish you lots of success and hope that our cress will bring its contribution to this surprise.
