Every year, the Talent van de Toekomst Bokaal Foundation organizes a professional contest for young talents in the field of gastronomy and hospitality. Starting in 2018, the contest is even more international and, therefore, a new name has been chosen: Future Talents.
In 2017, some international teams already participated. By fighting on a European level, the foundation aims to ensure that the contest provides an even more interesting and learning experience for the participants of the white and black brigade.
For a more international recognition, the foundation has also chosen for a identity. Future Talents is the new name of the contest. In the new logo the colour orange represents the Dutch character.
The Foundation organizes the annual the contest for MBO students to compete in various teams in both gourmet and hospitality areas. Also in 2018 the jury will consist of leading professionals in the industry. Jury chairman of the white brigades is chef Jacob Jan Boerma of Restaurant De Leest *** in Vaassen. The jury of black brigades, Petro Kools of Restaurant Da Vinci ** is headed by Maasbracht.
In 2018, the cooking talents will battle with each other on the basis of a black box. The talents of the black brigades are challenged in the area of hospitality, presentation skills, professional and product knowledge, and wine-cooking combination. The next edition of Future Talents will take place on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Miele Experience Center in Vianen. The registration for the school teams will start soon.
