During the gastronomic event ‘EuroGastro’ in Poland, Koppert Cress received the prestigious Innovation Prize for the products Sakura® Mix, Shiso® Mix and Salty Fingers®.
During the gastronomic event ‘EuroGastro’ in Poland, Koppert Cress received the prestigious Innovation Prize for the products Sakura® Mix, Shiso® Mix and Salty Fingers®. The jury considered the taste experience and the element of surprise on a dish to bring a new dimension for the gastronomes in Poland.
Koppert Cress was exhibiting at EuroGastro - Poland's largest event for gastronomy - in Warsaw for the first time. There was huge interest in the entire range, and questions about where they could be bought kept on coming. It is now clear that a product flow is already being set up through a number of wholesalers in Berlin.
A nationwide Cash & Carry chain is set to include the products in the range. ‘This is a sleeping giant,’ explains Liesbeth Boekestein. ‘The potential that we have seen among interested restaurateurs and caterers will undoubtedly result in increased demand for the products. It is a challenge for us and the exporters who already have wholesalers as customers in Poland.'
