Koppert Cress proudly introduces the Fivola Blossom – an edible flower that not only adds beauty but also tells a story.

An Ancient Flower That Inspires and Enriches

Koppert Cress proudly introduces the Fivola Blossom. With its pleasantly spicy bitterness, floral tones, and a subtle clove-like flavour, Fivola Blossom enhances any dish. These fragrant varieties leave a lasting impression. The small yet striking flowers range from soft pink to deep pink, with occasional flashes of red, purple, white, and multicolour. A delight for both the eye and the palate.

A Taste from Antiquity, Fivola Blossom

Since ancient times, Fivola Blossom has graced dishes around the world, prized not only for its refined taste but also for its bioactive compounds that gave it a valued place in traditional cuisines and medicinal uses. From ancient Greece to the emperors of China, this flower has been cherished, praised, and consumed.

Today, Fivola Blossom is a showstopper in everything from fresh salads and refined sandwiches to aromatic jellies, flavourful cakes, and even the subtle scenting of vinegars and wines. A special discovery? The petals are part of the secret recipe of the famous French liqueur Chartreuse – a true tribute to craftsmanship and nature.

A Flower with Meaning, Fivola Blossom

Originating in the vast wilds of Northern China and Mongolia, Fivola Blossom grows into an elegant plant 30 to 50 centimetres tall. In traditional Chinese herbal medicine, known as 'Qumai', this flower has been used for over 2,000 years to support digestion and vitality.

Fivola Blossom not only adds flavour but brings a rich history to the table. With its graceful appearance and storied past, Fivola Blossom gives chefs, pâtissiers, and flavour creators worldwide the opportunity to make dishes not only more beautiful but also more meaningful.

The Fivola Blossom, the new edible flower, is elegant in shape and versatile in the kitchen. I would describe it as a floral refinement that not only graces the plate but also elevates the dish. An edible flower that quite literally lets culinary creativity bloom – Demi Rose Annokkee, Chef Restaurant Miss Jones.
